A group of talented students from KALMUNAI  Al-Azhar Vidyalaya

were recently awarded certificates for their outstanding achievement in creating a school website. The project was sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Webcom Global (Pvt) Ltd., LK Domain Registry.

Under the guidance of Zonal ICT co-ordinator Mrs.Asma Maleek, the team of lecturers from Cyber Lowata Piyapath Program, Mrs. RNM. Haaris, the in-charge teacher, and Mrs. KF. Sasna, the ICT teacher, ten students from the school participated in the website creation initiative. Their hard work and dedication resulted in the development of a comprehensive and informative website that showcases the school's activities, achievements, and resources.

The website, www.alazharklm.schweb.lk, serves as a valuable platform for communication between the school, students, parents, and the wider community. It provides information about the school's history, mission, curriculum, extracurricular activities, and upcoming events.

The Ministry of Education commended the students for their innovative approach and contribution to digital literacy. Webcom Global (Pvt) Ltd. also expressed its appreciation for the students' participation and highlighted the importance of digital skills in today's world.

The certificate awarding ceremony was held at KM/Mahmud Ladies College, Kalmunnai  on 2024.02.27. Mrs. Asma Maleek, ADE for ICT delivered a congratulatory speech, emphasizing the significance of the project and encouraging the students to continue exploring their digital talents.

The achievement of these students is a testament to the school's commitment to providing students with opportunities for growth and development. By participating in such initiatives, students gain valuable skills that will benefit them throughout their academic and professional careers.
